Beijing: Tiananmen Sqaure, The Forbidden City and The Temple of Heaven

Tiananmen Square is in the top ten largest city squares in the world.  During the Protests of 1989, hundreds of people were killed in Tiananmen Square.

The Imperial Palace during 1420-1912, now known as The Forbidden City!  I took so many photos here, such a gorgeous location to wander through despite the obvious crowds.

The Temple of heaven and the circular mound alter, where prayers and sacrifices were made to bring good harvests.

That’s all about Beijing for now!

Keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming post about Xi’an, I don’t want to flood my blog with China, so I won’t be posting it right away!
