Airport Ritual

“Ritual : a series of actions or type of behaviour regularly and invariably followed by someone.”

Airport ritual…

I have one and I love it! I secretly love it way too much! But it is something that I have done for years when I arrive at an airport, and something that I will continually strive to do for the rest of my life!

My ritual is not so much about having various checklists out and ready to roll, with a pen in hand or having my carry on bag neatly organized with everything I might need in it.

My ritual is….

To get rid of my bags as fast as I can and run… run as fast as I can to the sushi and red wine bars within the airport.

To me, there is seriously nothing better than when this ritual starts, it signifies the start of something great, the time of exploration and adventure to new unknown places. I constantly people watch and make up their life paths for them in my mind, while devouring salmon and drinking red wine.

Unfortunately when inconsiderate jerks give me the early/red eye flights and the wine and sushi bars aren’t open, I’m obviously annoyed my ritual has been disrupted, but I will aim for the next best thing, looking out of the plane window and buzzing for a red wine.

What’s your ritual?

I usually go for a wee drink too haha. Also, seen your comment on First Friday. This is a cool blog (people love travel stuff on here), with an easy on the eyes design and a layout that’s easy to navigate. Keep up the good work!

Not as of yet, but I’m definitely going to try to get away at some point and do an article about it for my blog. Yourself?
